How To Reach Out

I'm not especially hard to reach. I'm just slightly more likely to answer if your message has an actual thought in it.

If you want to talk to me about linux, infrastructure, self-hosting, mail, weird internet things, projects, or something you read on here, go ahead.

I usually prefer text first. It works better for links, logs, context, and not having to repeat everything twice.

Good reasons to message me

  • You have a question about linux, servers, mail, hosting, or infrastructure
  • You want to show me something interesting, niche, or slightly cursed
  • You want to talk about a project, collaboration, or something I could help with
  • You found something on this site and felt like saying hi
  • You are a real person with a real thought

Before you send anything dramatic

You do not need to write a formal introduction, optimize your wording, or pretend to be more professional than you are.

A simple “Hey, I saw your site and wanted to ask about x” is completely fine.

I may reply quickly, or after a bit, depending on life, work, and whether I am currently being held hostage by something unnecessarily technical.
